Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

The short version. There is no sign-up, no account, and no newsletter on this site. We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook pixels, or any advertising network. The one thing that leaves your browser to a third party is a click on an Amazon link, and that is described below.

What we collect directly

Nothing. The site has no forms, no account creation, and no checkout. We do not ask for or store your name, email address, date of birth, or any other personal identifier.

Server logs

Our host, Cloudflare, records standard request logs such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp in order to serve pages, block abuse, and diagnose errors. These logs are retained by Cloudflare under its own policy and are not used by us to build a profile of you.

Affiliate links to Amazon

Some articles recommend specific products on Amazon. Those links contain an Amazon Associates identifier, which tells Amazon that the visit came from this site. If you click such a link, Amazon may set its own cookies and may collect data under Amazon's privacy notice. We have no access to that data and cannot see what you do on Amazon.

Our full reasoning for including them is on the affiliate disclosure page.

Pinterest

The site is configured so that images can be saved to Pinterest from our pages, and outbound clicks on product links are reported to Pinterest's tag for measurement. That tag is loaded from Pinterest and, when active, means Pinterest receives the page URL and the name of the product link you clicked. If you would rather we switch this off entirely, say so through the contact page and we will remove it.

Fonts and search engines

Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts, so Google sees the request and your IP address in the ordinary course of serving the page. We do not control that and do not receive any data back from it.

When content changes we submit updated URLs to Bing's IndexNow endpoint so search engines can refresh faster. That submission contains only the URL of the page, not anything about you.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data, there is generally nothing for us to disclose, correct, or delete. If you are in the EU, the UK, or California, you still have the right to ask about the data described above. For data held by Cloudflare, Amazon, Pinterest, or Google, please use those companies' own request processes, as we cannot act on your behalf.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Any material change will be described in the section it affects, not silently applied.
